Those of you who attend class regularly will already have heard me say this. I explained in lecture that the Maple lecture notes are intended to SUPPLEMENT the class only. I make no attempt to explain every detail in them, as they're primarily intended as a guide to writing the proper Maple code for solving the problems we discuss in class.
Some of the students in this course are not attending class, apparently just getting the material from the lecture notes. If you're capable of learning all of the material on your own by that method, that's ok. But, it's not fair for you to come by my office asking me to explain homework problems when they involve techniques which I did discuss during lecture.
There are a number of topics which we'll discuss in the later half of the quarter for which I will not provide explanation in the on-line lecture notes. Please plan appropriately.
